If you look for dinner table setting for parties that require a formal table setting arrangement, one misplaced fork could result in bourgeois mockery. So you should arrange the eating utensils (forks, knives and spoons) in the proper way as they are the most complicated aspects of properly setting a table. And you can learn from some pictures of place settings for eating utensils down below.

Start from the right side of plate. You can arrange the spoon and knife at the right of the plate, along with the soup spoon. And when you sit in front of a plate, three eating utensils should be vertically placed to its right. Right at the farthest right side, you should place the soup spoon, which is the larger, rounder spoon. Then you could place it by facing it up. And then next to its left, place the teaspoon (also face up). Finally, between the teaspoon and plate, you can place the knife. You should know that the knife's sharp edge should be on the left, toward the plate. And none of the utensils should be touching, and they should all be parallel to each other.

Second is right on the left side of plate. The two utensils should be placed on the left side of the plate. They are the salad fork and dinner fork. Since the dinner fork is the larger utensil, so it should be placed between the smaller salad fork and the plate. It can be an easy way to remember this is that all of the items on the outside are those first used during the meal. The soup and salad utensils should be placed on the outside and are bused away after these first courses.

Last is at above plate. This is for the dessert utensils. The two small utensils should be horizontally placed above the dinner plate. And a small fork should be placed between the plate and a small spoon above it. Then the spoon should point left, and the fork should point right.
