We can always use some flowers and butterflies to decorate a room for a child or an adult. It surely adds a whimsical magic to the room. It depends on the decoration to the room's inhabitant, colors, wall decorations and other room accents to create a subtle or vibrant room to meet your needs. Start from the bedding. My room has bedding set which also has matching paint with the walls. So I suggest you to do that too. You can visit your local home supply store to find bedding set with butterflies and flowers on it. But if you cannot find a color palette or style that you like, you can make your own using fabrics from your local craft store. Pick some brighter colors to give the room a more vibrant look for teens while softer colors are more appropriate for a baby's room. For adults, choose deeper hues to give the room a richer feel.

Second is using some paintings. I actually use the colors in my bedding as the guide when I wanted to choose the room colors. If your bedding has some colors, you can choose one or two primary colors from the bedding as the palette. For instance, my bedding is bright green and pink, so I choose shades of one or both colors for the walls. Then I firstly painted the walls in a solid color. You can use the color scheme to paint flowers or butterfly shapes on the wall. Or you can paint the wall a solid, light blue, and use acrylic paints to create a mural on the wall. You can also paint a country garden, and add butterflies flitting among the flowers.

Third is using some wall decorations. Afterwards, you can hang wall hangings to complement your theme. For instance, you can create a daisy-shaped mirror using a round mirror and wooden daisy cutout. Then you can look for cutouts at your local craft store, or make your own with plywood. Then you should paint the cutout white to match any decor, or choose an accent from the bedding. Or you can use 3D butterflies that you can find at the craft store or home supply store in either wire or silk construction.
